The Old Rockville Church has been sitting in the village of Rockville for nearly 200 years. 10 of those years were empty and cold, waiting for a new life as a community center.
In 2017, after a long and complicated title search, we closed on the building. In 2018, we started the first five garden beds. In 2019, we increased to eleven beds and added a permanent greenhouse.
In 2020, we want to break ground on the community center, renovate the common space, and build an addition with a large commercial kitchen. We are currently in the process of legally incorporating, fundraising, and establishing the fiscally and ecologically sustainable cycles of organic and permaculture gardening.
